Today began with HISTORY, one of the most interesting subjects I have ever seen since coming to SJII. Got to see Dr Underwood again (the lovable 'old man!)and refresh all his dry British humour, used extensively during lessons.
A typical question posed during the first 15 minutes, of which he advised us to think it through, and then forget it-reason being that it was too confusing.
If relations between the USA and USSR improved, would the Cold War figuratively get "colder" or "warmer"?
You can imagine...we had a laughing fit.
But of course, this perks up the entire class. I'm so glad to get back to school and study HISTORY and MUSIC and LIT. Hate to admit it, but the holidays
made my brain go rusty. Now's the time to tune it up!
Another interesting lesson was Chinese. Got to meet our new teacher, a Mdm. Goh, who apparently has a rather good sense of humour; and like all other chinese teachers in our school, can speak both Mandarin and English quite perfectly. She should sit for the Bilingual Diploma.=D
And so, one dramatised scene on the homework journal for Chinese, and for English, one essay on the likes of Macbeth and its itty-gritty storyplot.
